One of the oldest, most successful construction companies in Northwest Ohio, founders James and Ruth Whitta established Whitta Construction in 1957. James was active in the business as CEO and president until his passing in February 2011. Sons Thomas A. & David W. Whitta are both active in the company as Vice-Presidents, along with daughter Elizabeth A Buhrow as Secretary/Treasurer.
The company was formed as a site contractor and industrial renovator, but our site work capabilities have expanded and include full site development.

An expanding list of industrial clients call on us to provide equipment relocation and plant renovation. In the mid 1960’s Whitta further expanded with the purchasing of a black top pavement business. Today, this division of the company specializes in county, township, ODOT and industrial projects.

Building on our industrial experience, a full service design-build general construction division was formed in the mid 80’s. Since then, Whitta has completed industrial and commercial projects throughout the US, including many for repeat customers in a wide range of projects of various sizes.
