The Bach's Lunch series
University of Findlay

The Bach’s Lunch series will begin Sept. 12 at The University of Findlay. Each month, a different performer in the local area is featured in the series.
This season marks the 27th year of the series, making it the longest-running cultural series at UF.
The Harp and Flutes Trio will perform a variety of classical music at noon Friday, Sept. 12, in the Alumni Memorial Union. Performers in the trio include Jan Bishop on the harp, and Kim Cosiano and Cindy Strathman, both on the flute.
Performers in the area submit applications to perform in the series. The applications are screened and selected by Jack Taylor, UF professor of music and director of bands. Taylor was influential in starting the series and is happy that Bach;s Lunch has been so successful.

Toledo Symphony Orchestra

University of Findlay
The University of Findlay’s 2008-2009 Concert and Lecture Series will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, in Winebrenner Theological Seminary with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra’s Pops and the Piano concert.
Maestro Chelsea Tipton II will conduct the performance, with Julie Spangler featured on the piano. Selections include "Cuban Overture" by Gershwin, "A Salute to Broadway" arranged by Strommen and "Adventures on Earth from E.T." by Williams, among others.
Sponsors for the evening include Dr. C. Richard Beckett and Mrs. Linda Beckett; Dr. Richard E. White and Mrs. Jennifer Payne-White; Dr. Charles Younger and Dr. Mariann Younger; and Fifth Third Bank.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $10 for students. Admission for UF undergraduate and graduate students is free, but a ticket is required. UF faculty and staff may purchase tickets for $15.
